When Will This End? Hon. Amoako-Attah, Kasoa Lives Matter Part 2

A Love Letter to the Road Minister

Copied, Hon. Sly Tetteh, Mp for Ngleshie Amanfrom

Good Morning, Hon. Amoako-Attah, Minister for Roads and Transport, and my Member of Parliament, Hon. Sly Tetteh, MP for Ngleshie Amanfrom Constituency.

My name is Patrick Baah Abankwa, a savings advocate, a social commentator, and a proud son of Kasoa.

This is my second epistle on the struggles of people who travel on the Accra-Kasoa Road.

Sirs, my first letter regarding Toll Booth traffic was promptly responded to, and we are eternally thankful.

As the traffic situation at the Kasoa Toll improves, flooding and enormous traffic at two important places on this route become a chronic problem.

The stretch between Old Barrier and the SCC Junction is the first and most inconvenient traffic point.

Sirs, the traffic condition between Old Barrier and SCC is horrible.

The flooding around Atala is crazy and maddening for drivers on Kasoa Road.

Drivers must constantly shift from the Kasoa to Accra lane to escape the flooded side. This scenario is fraught with discomfort.

Many people were unable to get to work yesterday due to a severe traffic jam that lasted from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Patrick Owusu-Afriyie, a proud son of the land, squandered two hours driving between Weija Junction and SCC.

A distance that used to take less than 5 minutes to drive has now become hours.

This is not right, honorable!

The terrible part of my story is that this situation occurs practically every year, and successive MPs and Road Ministers have done nothing significant to address it.

I am confident in your ability to resolve this issue once and for all.

Many years ago, we had a similar problem at Mallam Junction, which was subsequently remedied.

Unfortunately, the Atala and Machigani flood blockages have grown endemic among Kasoa Sirs residents.

Sirs, the situation is intolerable, and the Kasoa people deserve better!

Please assist in resolving this matter right now!

When this situation is resolved, I will personally pen a second love letter to be delivered in person at your offices.

Your Savings Tutor, Patrick Baah Abankwa, is a proud Kaslander!

Long Live Kasoa, Long Live Ghana!!
